Hood scoop?
Where can I find a metal hood scoop, not a hood cowl, but a hood scoop METAL, not fiber!
Where can I find a metal hood scoop, not a hood cowl, a hood scoop, and metal not fiber, and ..................... don't give me the obviouse "Summit" , "Jegs" .............. already tried those can't find them!
a complete hood would work, but already have two so if I just could get the scoop I would be set
I'm a mechanic, a shop owner, and have a drag car, and a truck in which I race on a weekly basis. I know what you mean when it comes to scoops, there aren't that big of a selection. What I would do IF it was me, I would go to the local sheet metal fabrication shop, and get one made. This way you will get what you want, it will fit perfect, and look good too. The benefit would be you have your own design, and not everybody you come in contact with will have one like it. You can even design, and make a way to close it off when it rains. It is easy to find a vacuum chamber, some springs, and you have a system that opens when you slam the peddle to the metal. Most sheet metal shop will welcome the challenge, as they don't get to do these everyday, and you can bet you will get a scoop that you will be happy with.
