adminQuestion by MartinJapan: How do I change the default mouse pointer on my MacBook Pro?
Just switched from PC to Mac. Bought a MacBook Pro – OSX Tiger – plugged in my Logitech laser mouse, downloaded the Logitech for Mac stuff, no problem. Mouse works fine.
On XP there was a whole host of mouse pointers to choose from, but I can`t seem to find any on Tiger, or any option to change the default black arrow.
Helpeth me outeth, pleeeeeese!

At this time mac users have had to share the same “pointer” and will continue to share the same mouse pointer. True win based systems came preloaded with many adjustable options for larger pointers, pointer directions (Left or Right ”slanted direction”).
Try a search at the Apple’s download site for more options allowed by mac for pointers or cursers.
However I am unaware if “Tiger” has more options then Panther. Im sure it does, But locate the “mouse/key board” option within your System Preferences and go from there. Otherwise you’ll have to go with a third party software to adjust your pointer/curser.

Review of a Garrett Pro Pointer which I use for metal detecting. I didn’t realise how slow digging a target could be until I got this pointer. Now finds are located easily and the risk of damage to a valuable target is much reduced. Note to self: It is only useful when it is switched on. I made a mess of the first dig but decided to leave that part in to show how frustrating digging a target can be without a pointer (or with a pointer which you have switched off and forgotten to switch back on) Overall: 10 out of 10. I really can’t imagine being out detecting without this hyper useful tool.

I must have dug hundreds of holes and they all look sweet .
I was worried about a few that i dug on a mansion house lawn and outside a church and was going to go with a backpack full of water, then we had 2 weeks of rain. Job done.

Dude, my spade has had a hard life. I made the handle myself as it suits me for making selves in ponds and digging at angles. It spends its life hacking through roots, stones and concrete. It will deserve a Viking funeral when it dies.
I dare not say in case my wife finds out but look up Minelab Etrac and you’ll have your answer. I didn’t want to get a detector then wish I’d got a better one so I went straight for the daddy.
