Andre: Yeah I know Marty – he’s one of my referees on my resume! I worked with him at Minelab when he came back for a while, before moving on to UNISA. Top bloke.
Simon: This particular model (shiny & clear) was a one-off prototype that didn’t work, but was used to how of the internals a bit more. I st up all the materials for the all the bits including the ones inside the battyer pack, control box etc., with a view to doing a monster rendering of every component exploded out. The production model is all black and looks quite menacing. As for Lucy A, (aka Chuckles), I knew her well too. Lost contact with her when I was made redundant from Minelab (I had her email address on my PC which I was locked out of). She was really cool to work with. She always asked me to invite her to my first exhibition – sadly I can’t now!
Oh yeah, and Andre: Yes I"m moving on. Leaving the cardboard boxes behind me and heading into the world of custom office furniture.

Nice work, to continue the MineLab connections I used to make parts for Minelab detectors out of kevlar when I was putting myself through uni. Dodgy factory job but it paid well.

air test does mean something!
if it doesn’t find it in the air it wouldn’t find it either in the ground.air test is the best possible situation/scenario/settings.
i was gonna go buy one of these this month but not now! my 80s fisher 1265-x recovers quicker and will match it on that field test 2, i know because i tried it today! ill stick to what i got.

recovery speed is slow because it is multi frequency!! ace 250 is begginer machine no where near as deep as this come on £160 machine versus £1000 machine!!!!! no contest!!!!

That has got a real crap recovery speed, my ace 250 is better. To think I nearly bid on one of these on fleabay. Really glad I didn’t now.

I like your concise video reviews. It’s nice to see each machine run over the same test bed. Only shortcoming in this video is that you didn’t slow your sweep speed enough. Yes, you can and I do go much slower (in iron) areas with great results.
I ve used the minlab se in a bed of nails up agienst a tesoro, Both were lacking, when it came to multiple nails, had to just slow down and use a small coil.
After watching this video I see why Thank you.

Far better machines out there at a better price. In air iron tests=waste of time, no rust halo around the iron…its not rocket science.
If its no good in iron areas..what good is it?
Crap recovery speed for such an expensive machine, theres far better and a lot cheaper. “In air” tests with rusty iron are not even worth mentioning, you will have no “iron halo” around the nail caused by the rust from it.
i ha laser rapier good on coins but not deep the explorer is amazing on depth and u can cover alot more ground
