Are velcro belts authorized for wear with ACU's according to AR 670-1?

I noticed clothing and sales is selling tan velcro belts for ACU's that come without the belt buckle. I'm interested in buying one, but I couldn't find anything in AR 670-1 that says velcro belts are authorized. I work out of a classified facility where I have to pass through a metal detector on a regular basis, so it gets annoying always having to remove my belt because of the metal belt buckle. My First Sergeant recently announced that he would recommend any soldier for an article 15 if he caught them going to work without their belt on, since it's starting to become a trend where I work at due to the high traffic that goes through this metal detector. does anyone know if a tan velcro belt being sold at clothing and sales is authorized? I COULD NOT FIND THIS ANYWHERE IN THE MOST RECENT AR 670-1
